Times are not as easy as they used to be for those of us with faith. People treat you like you're less intelligent or even ignorant because you find love for Christ in your heart and put that before compulsive behavior and lust. You're supposed to disregard the beauty of life and the love of our Lord to be able to fit into the dating community, but that's simply not good enough for the saved. You want someone in your life that cherishes His love, and wants to join you in all that you do, from the movies and the beach, to bible study and worship. We do not always have the choice of finding our earthly love and partner in life in our own ministries, some communities are so small that we don't even have the option of finding them in our own town for the shrinking Christian populations.
Why should dating be limited to those from our own church in order to find someone that shares in our beliefs? It's funny but it seems like the only way that you can find other people with traditional values is by stepping into the future and going online with your search for a companion to share in Christ's love. There is no reason that we should need to disguise our love so that we can find someone to share our lives with, our faith should not be sitting in the second chair. For those of us that put his word before all, it can be quite discouraging trying to find someone that wants to be intimately close of mind and heart rather than someone that is looking to get closer to our bodies. It's obvious that the world has become a more sexual place, but that is just something that we need to be aware of as we carry out our days by His word.
It doesn't matter why you can't find that special someone in your own town, or even why you don't have time to put yourself out there looking for that special someone to serve His will with regularly. Ultimately, as long as we can get up and get out we need to find it in ourselves to make the best of our days, and with online dating we are able to find those hidden pockets of Christianity in our own communities, or those that are celebrating in His word across the country if we prefer. You never know what His plan is and that you are able to register on Christian sites with His values in mind means that we are able to open ourselves up to many new paths.
I have often considered a question about His will and our destinies, what about if it is his will for us to find our lifelong partner with which to celebrate in Him online? Maybe it is His plan that we are able to congregate as a global ministry so that we are better capable of sharing in the love that He provides? Couldn't it be possible that He wants us to find one another across countries and continents, and even establish virtual pilgrimages to assist other Christian communities in need? Surely He has planned on us using our broadband connections to carry out his word in some way beyond web casts and event calendars. It is more than possible that we were meant to find one another through online Christian dating sites as well as from within our own ministries. He has given us the tools to reach one another from thousands of miles away, so wouldn't that mean that He may well want us to use them to allow Him to guide us to the ends that he has designed for us?
