Guys Too Hot to Handle! Ouch! : Hot Guys

A hot guy doesn’t mean a guy with an elevated temperature. A hot guy is the one who gets your blood boiling, who makes your heart race and your skin flush. He’s the guy who starts you panting, or licking your lips or fanning yourself with the nearest magazine. When he enters the room, your nipples harden and your jeans feel tight. You’re inexplicably and irresistibly drawn to him. You’re utterly powerless.

What makes him so hot? What an impossible question to answer. A guy is hot not because he says he is; he’s hot because someone else thinks that he is. It’s totally subjective. My idea of a hot guy is an intellectual with a good body and a great sense of humor, somewhat self-deprecating, a strong spirit of adventure and a little bit reckless, an advocate for the downtrodden or oppressed, with strong convictions, self-confidence and rich. A guy like George Clooney; okay, forget about like… exactly like George Clooney – now, that’s my idea of a "hot" guy.

Maybe as you were reading that, just before you got to the George Clooney part, you were thinking to yourself, “Yeah, I agree, that’s hot.” But, when I mentioned ol’ George, you thought, “that old fart?” Hell, he's only 46. See, totally subjective.

Everything depends on perception, yours. But one thing is for certain, a hot guy almost always has self confidence. I’m not suggesting he’s an egoist, I’m just suggesting that, regardless of his outer appearance, whether he’s fat or thin, tall or short, young or old, black or white or yellow or red or whatever, he’s comfortable in his skin. You’ve heard that expression before, haven’t you? It means that you’re totally cool with who you are, and wholly accept that how you are is how you are. It’s a zen-thing, but it’s right on.

Given that, it’s no surprise then that guys that have no physical attributes worth mentioning are considered “hot.” Why are so many un-hot guys married or running around with beautiful women draped all over them? It’s other attributes such as self-confidence, intellect, position, power, sexuality.

Is “The Donald” hot? Not with that comb over he’s not, but his self-confidence is what makes him a hot property and so appealing to so many women (not to mention his net worth).

Take a look at U.S. politicians, while most of them are professionally groomed, there are still a good number of very unattractive senators, governors and presidents. It wasn’t looks that attracted their wives, it was pure unadulterated power. How many ugly politicians are caught up in sex scandals… it’s a power thing, that’s what is “hot” about them.

What about intelligence? There’s obviously a lot to be said for that; Stephen Hawking has seemingly nothing at all going for him (poor guy), he’s not only ugly, but he suffers from ALS, and is purported to be conceited and rude. But he’s been married twice, and has several children. Big Brain Syndrome – it’s a powerful magnet.

Let’s not forget rock stars. What is so appealing about Mick Jagger, Ozzy Osbourne, Keith Richards or Steve Tyler? They are just plain ugly men, but what a flock of groupies they’ve got! Any time, day or night, if they choose, they could have their pick of women. And look at their wives, gorgeous! Go figure.

Some women think of men as hot because of their idiosyncrasies, what makes them entirely different from the rest of the male population. Maybe it’s freckles or a crooked smile. Or the way he acts around children or pets, or your mother – if he likes what you like, that is hot. If he loves what you love, that is even hotter. Grab him and hold tight.

Who is your “hot guy?” And why is he hot for you? Doesn’t matter if he’s for real, or only in your dreams, sometimes that’s even better than the reality.
